Mark Ward joined Cardinal in 2013. He is an accomplished leader with approximately 30 years of engineering, operations and project management experience in both the upstream and midstream segments of the natural gas industry. In 2005 Mark founded Natural Gas Consultants, LLC, where he served as a Managing Director focused on providing gas gathering system design and economic evaluation services to both pipeline operators and exploration and production companies. From 2000 to 2005, Mark served as the Manager of Business Development for American Central Gas Technologies (“American Central”), where he was responsible for the commercial and operational development of the company’s East Texas gathering assets. From 1997 to 2000 Mark worked at Mitchell Energy Corporation (“Mitchell Energy”), where he served as Senior Reservoir Engineer in charge of the western third of the North Texas Region. Mark worked as a gas supply engineer and project manager for Delhi Gas Pipeline (“Delhi”) from 1991 to 1997 and began his career with Mitchell Energy in Fort Worth, Texas, as a drilling and production engineer focused in the Fort Worth Basin.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas. As a principal and Chief Operating Officer of Cardinal, Mark will lead the company’s operations and engineering efforts while also providing valuable support toward the ongoing project development and commercial activities of the company.
